BioMy name is Fiona. I'm a dancer at heart, and have been since I was about three years old. I've been attending lessons with the same teacher since then,and I love it. The other thing that I've always loved to do is read. I love books, and have always surrounded myself with them. They've fuelled my incessant curiosity and desire for knowledge. This is probably the main reason behind any academic success I may have had.
I attend a co-ed grammar school where I'm in Year 13, studying English Literature, German and Religious Studies A-levels. Given my love of books, English is an obvious choice. I've enjoyed the challenge of learning a foreign language, and I love the feeling of achievement when I manage to express myself well in German. My dad has an MA in modern languages, so that one's genetic. The reason I chose Religious Studies is because at our school we study the philosophy and ethics parts of the course, and that was what intrigued me. I'm very glad I did choose to study it, because I've discovered I have a great love of Big Questions. I love debating and discussing complicated issues, and I do enjoy the fact that there are very rarely any easy answers. This is the main reason why I've applied for theology at university. Provided I get the grades, I should be starting in October at Exeter.
I can be petulant, inconsiderate, selfish and irritating, but I try my very best not to be. Apart from these things, I'm curious, enthusiastic, hopeful, tactile, fascinated by people, nervous in new situations and thoughtful.
I'm in love, and I'm engaged. I'm very happy about it, coz this one's a keeper.
